Any bride on a budget is always looking on ways to save money for her big wedding day! One way to save money is to make your wedding favors or bridal shower favors! Win your way to your guest’s heart with a little sugary cupcake snack!
Wilton’s is a great website to find wonderful DIY cupcake recipes! There are a variety of recipes, not only just cupcakes, but cakes, cookies, cake pops and more! The recipe I will share in this post is the Scallop Scroll cupcakes. What I love about this website is that consumers can rate the difficulty of the recipe, and this is perfect for the novice to the advanced baker! This particular recipe is rated at a 4.5, which is an easy rating on their website and that is good recipe because I am a novice baker! Brides can also accent this wedding favor or bridal shower favor by creating a cute party printable themed cupcake flag with a personalize note thanking your guests for attending your event!
Now, the big question is what to carry all your cupcakes to your bridal shower or wedding shower? Tupperware has some awesome products on their website for baking! For example, the Thatsa Bowl and the Thatsa Mega Bowl is a great bowl for mixing your cupcake batter and it serves a multi-purpose for baking and cooking. Another great item to purchase from Tupperware would be the Rectangular Cake Taker it is a hot ticket item to purchase and it holds up to 18 cupcakes for transportation to your rental space or reception hall!
I hope you enjoyed our cupcake favor ideas, so now go forth, create, and bake those DIY cupcake favors! Be sure to drop me a line and let me know how your cupcakes turned out for your event!

Reception Food Challenge
Published by Regina at 11:35 AM
When I got married, it was use their caterer or pay more for the hall. We went with their caterer, had beef and chicken in a buffet style and they had awesome food. We had planned it perfectly. We had enough food left over for a sandwich.
Figuring out what to serve at your wedding is hard. So many questions. Will it be sit down, or served. Will you serve beef or chicken, how will it be prepared, who is preparing it, will be it catered or will friends and family be making the food. And the big question, what will you be serving for side dishes (or sidings as my daughter calls them).A friend of our family's brother recently had a wedding where they had a pot luck wedding reception, this was in a casual setting and could help you with the food costs as well.
I found Wedding Ideas Etc, had some good ideas for reception food from catering, food stations, appetizers (what people want to eat before they eat!)
If you are doing a themed wedding, planning your food may be easier or challenging, depending on your theme and flexiblity.
Whatever you plan for food, make sure it is food that you and the hubster to be like and if you had left overs, would want to take home. If it's not something you'd want to eat more than once, chances are your guests might not like it.
If you are having a family friendly reception (aka kids allowed), concerned if kids would want to eat it. If you are paying a lot per plate for kids to eat, you don't want to get expensive beef that they won't eat, and maybe a buffet style works better with kids, versus a served plate.
And then there is family style where dishes of food are served to the table and people take what they want. So many different options, but this might save you money too.
Not all these options may be possible at the venue you are having your event at, so find out what is available and choose which one best suits your style.
The cake on the other hand . . . is another story.
